Step up in the party like my name was Mr. T
I got the call yesterday that I am hired by Old Navy for this season! This will go far in helping me earn some money for school. I am so excited. Unfortunately, this also means that I am working on Thanksgiving, so this weekend Jonathan and I are driving down to his parents' house and having mini Thanksgiving! Jonathan will go down there on Thursday, as well. Depending on my Old Navy work schedule, my friend Amy is having a get-together at her place, so I will still have somewhere to go! Or I told Jonathan that I'd get a Quorn Turk'y roast and would enjoy that for dinner. ;o)
What's everyone else doing for Thanksgiving?
Also in GOOD NEWS, Halo and I went to the vet last night and they tested her blood glucose and she was normal! So we're dropping the amount of insulin she's getting to only once a day. The vet says she might be in remission! We go back in two weeks to get checked out again to see how once a day is working out. Crossing fingers and sending positive thoughts toward my kitty! (She had her foot bandage taken off last night. Remember this picture? Super Halo!)
I have two things to share with you for today:
Renai sent this link to me last night. It's 10 Festive Holiday Crafts with Pinecones. Isn't it amazing what you can do with a pinecone. We are PBFFs. Pinecone luv fo eva'!
Also, this recipe for caribou-bobs sounds pretty darn good. While I don't think I could get caribou meat here in Portland I would definitely try it with another meat and am excited to. Don't those pictures make your mouth water? I don't get to eat caribou all that often now that I don't live in Alaska, but it's really good and it's always a treat when I get to now!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Congrats on the job! and thanks for posting the pinecone link. I'm a big fan of pinecones too, and look forward to using them more in my holiday decorating this year. Happy weekend.
