Bacon Party!
(Surprisingly, no bacon in the cupcakes.)
The bacon party left me speechless, both because my mouth was constantly full of delicious bacon and also because I was so full that I went home and went to bed early because I was so, so full. We had cinnamon rolls with bacon wrapped inside, bacon bloody Marys with homemade bacon-infused vodka, crack bread (sourdough bread round baked with bacon, cheese, butter, and ranch dressing inside), chicken wrapped with bacon, bacon-wrapped asparagus and goat cheese, plain ol' pieces of bacon, and on and on! It. Was. Amazing. I gorged myself on bacon for three hours and then ended up heading home around 8pm. I was in bed by 9pm on Saturday. I wasn't hungry the next day for hours!
All I can say is that I can't wait until next year's party!

This is amazing. BRING THIS IDEA BACK TO PORTLAND.
ReplyDeleteSeriously!!! It must happen!! Except as I am working both weekend days from the weekend I get back until the end of the year, I would love someone else to host it. Ha! I don't think Jonathan would appreciate holding down the fort of people at our apartment while I get home from downtown. ;o)
DeleteYou are bacon-crazy, aren't you! My, I haven't tasted bacon for sooo long! Your post and photos made my mouth water!
ReplyDeleteI am bacon crazy, but only in small amounts! I don't think I can eat bacon for another week or two. ;o)
DeleteWe totally need to have a bacon party. Good god! Why have I never thought of this?!
ReplyDeleteI know, right?! It never occurred to me either! I wish someone in Portland would throw one and invite me because I wouldn't have time to do it on the weekends until after the new year. You should make it happen and then post photos!
