Mellow Wednesday
Did everyone who celebrated Valentine's Day have a nice one? Jonathan and I weren't originally planning on going out, but I realized we had a lot of things in the fridge that didn't really go together and my friend Amy was working, so we decided to go to Pambiche, a Cuban restaurant not far from us that we have talked about going to for several years now. It was fabulous! The colors! The people! The FOOD! I talked to a man from Colombia while we were waiting for a table and he told me what he liked on the menu, so I took his advice and ordered the Ropa Vieja.
It might not "look" the prettiest, but it was so delicious! Garlicy slow-cooked beef with yummy sauce and beans & rice with pork pieces in it. Yum yum yum. I ate almost the whole plate. It was amazing. I highly recommend Pambiche and now see what all the fuss is about!
My other exciting thing that happened yesterday is that I came home to the purse I ordered from my friend Brooke of Salty Designs.
So excited that it came wrapped in a big map!
Now I have an awesome purse AND and an awesome wallet from her! Thanks, Brooke!
(She's on vacation right now, but check out her Etsy shop when she gets back!)
Today in the mail I got Renai and I's tickets to go see Michael Pollan speak in April!
So all-in-all it was a pretty good day, although I felt out of it and tired for most of the time. And Monday was good, too, so I think this week is starting off nicely.
How is your week?
