Heading to Alaska today!

Hooray! Hooray! I go to Ketchikan today!

I've got my SmartWool and my cute party outfit packed. I'm ready to go! I will be working at the coffee shop every day from 7am-5pm, except for Sunday, when I'll be working 9am-4pm. Lots of hours! Yeah! So if you're in Ketchikan come by and visit me!

It turns out there's quite a few things going on tonight so I don't know what I'll be doing when I get into town. I might take the water taxi guy so I don't have to wait for the ferry. I think that should get me over onto Revilla twenty minutes early or so. There is bluegrass at the New York, Hall Anderson is having a party at the Arctic, and Ranger Mary and Rotary is having a fundraiser at the old KRBD building to help eradicate polio. So lots of fun stuff to choose from! I need to also go grocery shopping to get some food for the next week. I'm thinking oatmeal in the morning, sandwiches and veggies for the daytime, and lentil soup at night.

I am so excited to see all of my coffee shop customers/friends! I am going to miss Jonathan a lot, though. It'll be just like when I still lived in Alaska and were doing the long distance relationship. ;o)

So I just have to mention this before I sign off. Yesterday I bought some lotion by Bee Crow Bee from Camellia and it is outrageously delicious-smelling. It's locally made here in Oregon. The smell is really vibrant and powerful, which is how I like it. I picked up the rosemary peppermint, lavender geranium, and lemongrass. I don't know which one is my favorite! (I also have their peppermint candy cane soap and it is so, so, so good. So delicious-smelling.)

Wish me luck that I have a safe trip and TSA treats me well! ;o)
