Second To Last Weekend in Portland!

Another fabulous weekend! Renai came down on Friday night so that we could go see Michael Pollan speak at the University of Portland on Saturday night. We lazed around Saturday morning and then did some running around. I really enjoy having Renai as a guest because she's totally laid back about things and I don't have to worry about entertaining her constantly. Renai, thank you for being you!

Here is what we did...

We had some beer at HUB. Delicious and organic!

Took the standard picture in Hopworks' bathroom.

Went to Amy and Cameron's birthday party.

Saw Michael Pollan speak.

And went to North for my going away party!
(When the photographer says, "Pretend like you're yawning!" well, one of us pretends to do it. ;o)
(I love you, Hollay!)

On Sunday I said goodbye to Renai and then proceeded to read magazines in the sun on the couch with Halo for a couple of hours. It was sooo nice! After the second magazine I got back into bed with Jonathan and took a nap. When I got up I spent three hours wrapping soap and watching "Eat, Pray, Love."

This is but a small amount of what I wrapped!

It was just a good weekend overall. And now today marks the first day of my last week at my Oregon job! I'm both excited and not. There are both aspects I really like of the job, but the negatives are outweighing the positives and it's time to stop. I just can't believe I'm finally at the last week. Less than two weeks in Portland before my Alaskan Adventure! (You can use code ALASKA for a 10% discount in my soap shop!)

What about you? Did you have a good weekend?

  4. Krista, what did you think of the movie and had you read the book first? I thought the movie was about exactly what I expected of it. Not in a bad way. It was a good movie that I felt I could follow along with, even if I wasn't watching it (because of the wrapping) the whole time.

Jenner, yes, the beer is so good at HUB! They have a great IPA that I really wanted, but they don't always have the Red, which is what I had. Their food is SO good, too. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it and it's 6:34am by my watch. ;o)

Stina, I know!!!!! I'm definitely feeling like time is zooming by! Less than two weeks, oh my gosh!!
